CIFS Mount of a NetApp Share does not work in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
Issue
-
The cifs mount of a NetApp share produces the following error message on the client:
Aug 4 09:37:29 test kernel: Status code returned 0xc0000070 NT_STATUS_INVALID_WORKSTATION Aug 4 09:37:29 test kernel: CIFS VFS: Send error in SessSetup = -13 Aug 4 09:37:29 test kernel: CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -13 -
The system is not bound to the Active Direcory domain - kerberos is not configured. The domain policy is configured to allow just the Linux hosts that present a share to NetApp.
Allowed Workstation: host a b c
-
The mount command is the following:
//f-xx-na-03/domainXStore /app/domainX/cubes_store cifs soft,uid=domainX,gid=domainA,rw,domain=ILD_AS,credentials=/etc/domainX_cifs_credentials,file_mode=0644,dir_mode=0755 0 0
Environment
