For recently release RHEL update, why spacewalk-create-channel fails with "Error: data file 'X-uY-server-x86_64' does not exist" ?
Issue
- On trying to create channels for the recently release Red Hat Enterprise Linux minor update, spacewalk-create-channel fails with:
# spacewalk-create-channel -l satadmin -v 5 -u u7 -r Server -a x86_64 --destChannel=RHEL_5.7_x86_64
No server specified, defaulting to localhost.Password:*****
Error: data file '5-u7-server-x86_64' does not exist
- Why does
spacewalk-create-channelfail only for the latest released Red Hat Enterprise Linux minor update?
