Setting PreserveJobHistory or PreserveJobFiles to a time value in RHEL 8 doesn't work as expected

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

If I set PreserveJobHistory or PreserveJobFiles in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf to a time-based value like 300 (300 seconds), 60m (60 minutes), or 30d (30-days), then the files in /var/spool/cups are immediately deleted when the print jobs are completed.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8
