Using rsync-3.0.6-4 via ssh fails on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7

Issue

  • Since the rsync-3.0.6-4.el5 upgrade, rsync fails with the following message :

    # rsync -e ssh -av --delete /tmp/test 10.33.1.75:/tmp

    rsync error: unexplained error (code 255) at io.c(600) [sender=3.0.6]
