Fresh UPI install on bare metal with bonding using OVN-Kubernetes default Container Network Interface Kubernetes fails

When trying to provision a bare-metal UPI node on a cluster using OVN-Kubernetes default Container Network Interface and bond network interfaces (see Advanced Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS (RHCOS) installation configuration for more information about that setting), the script
configure-ovs.shexecuted automatically after the second boot fails when it it is configuring the interfaces. -
The node affected stays in
NotReadystatus.
