Updating JBoss log4j logging thresholds while running
Issue
- I need to change logging thresholds for certain categories at runtime. What options do we have for this?
- How to change logging level from JMX console without restarting the server instance?
- Does turning up logging to TRACE for JBossManagedConnectionPool requires JBoss restart?
- Tracing is not possible in production, since we don't know when the issue appears
Environment
- JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5
- log4j
- settings defined in
jboss-lg4j.xml
