Unable to change locktable name for GFS2 file system

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • Unable to change locktable name on the superblock/filesystem as per current server's cluster name which are snapshot LUNs/disks presented from SAN storage to the server
  • Tried to change cluster name of the disk with both the tools - tunegfs2 and gfs2_edit, none of these tools helped to change the cluster names
  • The tunegfs2 command fails to change the name of the "Lock table" for a gfs2 filesystem. The locktable name is not changed.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7 with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add On
  • A Global Filesystem 2 (gfs2)
