"Failed to mount /run/media/iso" error returned when trying to install RHEL CoreOS

Issue

  • When the live ISO of RHEL CoreOS is used to boot a machine, the following errors show up:
systemd[1]: Mount /run/media/iso...
mount[1437]: mount: /run/media/iso: /dev/sr0 already mounted or mount point busy.
systemd[1]: run-media-iso.mount: Mount process exited, code=exited status=32
systemd[1]: Failed to mount /run/media/iso

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 4.6.8 (Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.6).
