Openstack loadbalancer Service Unavailable (HTTP 503)

Issue

  • After performing a scale-out of compute nodes Openstack Octavia service becomes unreachable and the below error is logged in /var/log/containers/octavia/octavia.log

    2021-04-06 00:01:36.762 39 ERROR octavia.api.drivers.driver_factory [-] Unable to load provider driver ovn due to: Unable to open the driver agent socket: /var/run/octavia/status.sock: octavia_lib.api.drivers.exceptions.DriverAgentNotFound: Unable to open the driver agent socket: /var/run/octavia/status.sock
