How can I remove old system snapshot data from Red Hat Satellite?

Issue

  • I want to purge old snapshots in order to free up some space in the Satellite database. How can I do that?

  • I get frequent database deadlocks when attempting to delete system profiles:

    In /var/log/tomcat{5,6}/catalina.out:
