Kibana users are all of a sudden enforced to create an index pattern again but is failing on OpenShift Container Platform 4

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • Users of kibana, are all of a sudden forwarded to the kibana index management page. It looks like they are enforced to create an index pattern even though they already did create it earlier. But then the index pattern creation fails.
  • Users of kibana receive Saved object is missing or Could not locate that index-pattern error message and are unable to work and modify/remove the existing index pattern.
  • All saved objects in kibana appear to be read-only after a while and users are unable to access logs or modify/remove any of the objects created.
