RHEL8: How can I create a custom RHEL installation media, with an non default kernel?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

I need to install RHEL8.3, but the install kernel on the media needs to be replaced by a different kernel. I have that different kernel here as rpm. How to create a custom RHEL media with that kernel, which I can put onto a usb stick and boot?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8
  • genisoimage
