Issue

  • How much a single (1) quantity of this subscription SKU: MW00332 "Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Standard/Premium (64 Cores or 128 vCPUs)" will cover?

  • This subscription provides 64 entitlements for physical cores or 128 for virtual CPUs. In case of virtual CPUS if a node is virtual and have just 1 cpu. Then it can provide for 128 nodes. But, if a node has 2vCPUs then it will provide for 64 nodes.

  • Customer observed they are consuming only 1 entitlement for every 16 cores node. Instead they were expecting to consume 16 entitlements for every node.

  • In order to review the above information Customer subscribed to one virtual node (worker) with '4vCPUs' to this subscription Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Standard (64 Cores or 128 vCPUs)". And observed that the virtual node (worker) has 4vCPUs, and it is still consuming 1 entitlement, which contradicts the above information.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
    • 3.11.x
