SSL renegotiation in Satellite 6 prevents third-party network devices from optimizing SSL connections

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

Some third-party network devices are able to optimize network traffic to improve network throughput, which is particularly helpful for low-bandwidth connections. However, Apache's SSL renegotiation feature creates additional, unpredictable network connections that automatic optimization tools may not be able to cope with. This affects Red Hat Satellite 6, because it relies heavily on Apache.
