Is it possible to reconfigure ql2xmaxqdepth without reloading the module on RHEL5 or RHEL6?

Issue

  • Is the ql2xmaxdepth parameter of the qla2xxx reconfigurable without reloading the module? It appears possible to do the following:
    # cat /sys/module/qla2xxx/parameters/ql2xmaxqdepth
    9
    # echo 32 > /sys/module/qla2xxx/parameters/ql2xmaxqdepth
    # cat /sys/module/qla2xxx/parameters/ql2xmaxqdepth
    32
  • Is this implemented and / or supported on either RHEL 5 or 6?
