Undefined NOTIFICATION (coldStart) in RHQ-mib.txt

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • When using the RHQ-mib.txt to translate SNMP OIDs with net-snmp utilities, an error is displayed when the RHQ MIB is parsed. The output of an example snmptranslate command can be found below. This error breaks the import of the MIB in other tools as well.

  • The coldStart notification was added in JON 2.4.1, see bug reports [1] and [2]. Please fix this MIB, so this error does not occur.

  • Example command:

$ snmptranslate -M /usr/share/snmp/mibs -m +SNMPv2-MIB:RHQ-MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.18016.2.1.1 2>&1
  • Output:
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging
Undefined NOTIFICATION (coldStart): At line 119 in /usr/share/snmp/mibs/RHQ-MIB.txt
RHQ-MIB::alertName
