How to disable authentication prompt for packagekit?

Issue

  • Authentication prompt comes up during VNC session

  • Following error messages are seen in /var/log/messages :

polkitd[1415]: Operator of unix-session:52 FAILED to authenticate to gain authorization for action org.freedesktop.packagekit.system-sources-refresh for system-bus-name::1.3902 [/usr/bin/gnome-software --gapplication-service]
