Networking conflict with Crio in OCP 4.x

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • User configured docker installation bridge with IPs (eg 172.17.x.y ) in OCP 3.x and realized that there are services already assigned to these ip addresses. When an application running on OpenShift tries to access these services. It is not possible. User changed the docker network CIDR to fix the network address conflict issue.

  • User installs OCP 4.x and noticed that in OCP 4 crio is used instead of docker. Does crio bridge ip needs to be changed in OCP 4.x in order to avoid network/ip conflicts of services?

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
    • 4.5.x
    • 3.11
