Unable To Ping the Gateway and Other Network Machines on RHEL5.4 32-bit

Issue

  • Installed RHEL5.4 32 Bit Operating System on Accer Hardware , afterInstallation when tried to ping the Gateway its not pinging  , but self ping is working .

  • We checked the configuration and even tried to manually restarting the network Service still there is no luck .

  • On the Same machine We have dual boot of windows 7 , from there we are able to ping   the gateway as well as other network clients with out any issues .

  • Also ethtool on eth0 tells  "No link Found"

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
  • Acer Hardware
