[RHEL5] When change boot order to FC controller system panics

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When change Boot Order to FC Controller order vgsan environments boot but abends and panics with:

    /bin/true exitted with 255
error calling out /bin/true
not enough space for response from /bin/true

  • Booting "linux rescue mpath" sees my SAN boot environment with no issues at all.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • HP StorageWorks XP12000
