Red Hat Directory Server possible slow performance under heavy error logging, with 6-cores, and not with 4-cores

Issue

Possible Red Hat Directory Server (RHDS) slow performance for 6-cores processor.
A custom plug-in shows a good response time of about 0.4 second when used with RHDS 8.1.3 deployed on RHEL 5U3 system with a dual core processor, but the same plug-in used on a 6-cores processor has a response time of about 14 seconds.

Is there anything that we should be aware to run on a 6-core processor machine?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 on a 4-cores system, and a 6-cores system
  • Red Hat Directory Server 8
            Red Hat-Directory/8.1.0 B2009.111.1832
  • Custom plug-in for RHDS
