Why is write io performance slower than expected on Smart Array controller disks?
Issue
- In some HP servers with Smart Array controllers, the disk write operations are much slower when compared to similar equipment.
- Server hangs up some time only to resume after sometime while Smart Array under modest write load.

- Smart Array (backplane raid) controller
