Close buttons not correctly terminating applications in KDE

Issue

• Clicking the the "X" button located in the upper right corner of any window based application  bring up a dialog that says:

"Are you sure you  want to exit" which bring up an OS Warning that says "Window with title  "xxxx" is not responding. This window belongs to application "yyyy" (PID  = ####, hostname = localhost). Do you wish to terminate this  application? "

• All unsaved data in the application are lost.
• Issue occurs on specific date (e.g 12/17/2010)
