Kdump fails to save vmcore but manages to save vmcore-dmesg.

Issue

• After making changes to kdump configuration, the system is unable to save the vmcore file but is able to save the vmcore-dmesg file.
• The kdump fails to save the vmcore even after successful generation of crash kernel.
• The same kdump configuration fails to work while works on other with identical configuration.
