Issue

  • Memory allocation requested by a process more than total RAM on the system fails with error memory alloc (xxxxxxxxxxx bytes) returned NULL.

  • rpm --rebuild fails with error memory alloc (xxxxxxxxxxx bytes) returned NULL.

  • Memory allocation fails even if available RAM+swap together could fulfill the requested memory and memory requested is more than or equals to RAM on the system.
