Unable to add a network bond device to an ethernet bridge device using brctl utility
Issue

When attempting to use the brctl command to manually add a network bond device to an ethernet bridge, we receive an error message
# brctl addbr Bridge1 # brctl addif Bridge1 bond0 can't add bond0 to bridge Bridge1: Invalid argument
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 6
- bridge-utils
- bonding driver in use
- ethernet bridge devices created via brctl addbr
