lvremove of snapshot produces multipathd "uevent trigger error"

Issue

  • The following is seen in /var/log/messages while creating and removing lvm snapshots:

    multipathd: uevent trigger error

or

mulitpathd: libdevmapper: ioctl/libdm-iface.c(1634): device-mapper: table ioctl failed: No such device or address

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3

  • device-mapper-multipath-0.4.7-23.el5
