Read-only Azure-File mount in OpenShift Container Platform 4 is still writeable

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Created some Azure file shares to test ReadWriteMany and ReadOnlyMany behaviour in OCP4.5. When rsh into the pod, it is possible to create files in the volume. The volume should be mounted as read only filesystem. Is that understanding not correct?
  • Applying pv.spec.<xxx>.readOnly does not have any affect and the volume is still writeable.

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) 4
