  • Messages similar to the below message is repeatedly logged in /var/log/messages

    kernel: [qed_mcp_handle_events:955(em2-0)]Unimplemented MFW message 17
    • Note: em2 is the NIC name, might differ for every implementation. The MFW message could be 17 or other values.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.4
  • Kernel 3.10.0-693
  • QLogic FastLinQ QL41000 Series NIC
