Constant memory usage increase in pid slab

Issue

• Memory usage is noted to gradually increase on the system
• Upon inspection, /proc/meminfo shows a gradual and constant increase in slab memory usage
• slabtop shows the majority of the slab memory usage growth is in the pid slab cache
