JON stops collecting JVM metrics for a JBoss AS that is using com.sun.management.jmxremote system property after JBoss AS is restarted

Issue

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) not showing Java Virtual Machine (JVM) metrics
  • After a restart of JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP), JON stops of collecting data for JVM metrics (such as Threading, Memory Subsystem...) on the restarted EAP resource.
  • JVM metrics stop being collected after a restart of EAP server

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) 2.3.0, 2.3.1, 2.4.0, 2.4.1
  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 4.3 CP06
  • JBoss EAP server has been started using the following system properties:

    • -Djboss.platform.mbeanserver
    • -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote
    • -Djavax.management.builder.initial=org.jboss.system.server.jmx.MBeanServerBuilderImpl
  • JON Plug-In Pack for EAP

    • JBoss Application Server (AS) plug-in - jopr-jboss-as-plugin
