Ceph4 storage installation support with RHOSP13

Issue

  • We would like to get a confirmation if Ceph4 can be deployed along with RHOSP13.

  • As per RHOSP13 installation guide, it is mentioned to enable and use Ceph3 repositories. However, since Ceph4 is now available we would like to deploy Ceph4 along with RHOSP13. Is this supported by enabling Ceph4 repositories for RHEL7 (instead of Ceph3 repo) and upgrade Ansible to version 2.8 on Undercloud server (since Ceph4 ansible package requires Ansible version minimum 2.8 )?

  • We are planning for a production deployment and would like to know if Ceph4 with RHOSP13 is fully supported by Redhat ?
