blkid displays outdated cached info for clustered logical volumes in RHEL

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • blkid displays outdated cached info for clustered logical volumes when a new file system has been created on the device from a different node
  • 4 cluster nodes running a GFS file system.  Seems that if you change the file system on one node to another, the other cluster nodes do not get updated.
  • How does one flush the blkid cache for this one particular logical volume mount on the other nodes?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4, 5, 6
