Attempting to add a Storage Domain causes SPM to go non-operational and switch to other hosts

Issue

  • Attempting to add a new LUN as a Storage Domain but getting an error of 'Failed to Add Storage Domain'

  • The current SPM went into non-operational mode causing the SPM role to switch to another host, which may exhibit the same behavior

  • The following error appears in /var/log/messages:

Nov 20 16:35:10 localhost kernel: scsi: host 0 channel 3 id 0 lunNNN has a LUN larger than allowed by the host adapter
Nov 20 16:35:12 localhost kernel: scsi: host 0 channel 3 id 0 lunNNN has a LUN larger than allowed by the host adapter
