Issue

  • The machine-config-controller pod getting crashed on the VMware UPI deployment openshift cluster.
  • After updating the cluster, the machine-config-controller pod getting crashed frequently with below error
E1001 11:42:52.570255       1 runtime.go:78] Observed a panic: "invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference" (runtime error: invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference)
