Issue

• We are seeing the same issue as reported at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699553

Resolution

• a fix has been proposed for inclusion in a future RHEL 5 update (bug 699553)

Root Cause

• the patch for bug 564392 should have use vecho instead of echo

• introduced in 5.6.z mkinitrd (RHBA-2011-0430)

Diagnostic Steps

• no impact, fix simply silences message
