Why virt-v2v fails to covert windows guests with multiple disks attached and if applications are installed to both drives?

Issue

  • Converting a windows guest which has multiple disks attached to it using virt-v2v fails with the below error message if both disks have "Program Files" directory in it due to installation of windows applications in different partitions.

    virt-v2v: multiboot operating systems are not supported by virt-v2v
