'pcs cluster standby <nodename>' fails with "Error: node 'nodename' does not appear to exist in configuration" in RHEL 6 with pacemaker

Issue

  • When I try to standby a node in a pacemaker cluster, I get an error.
  • Command "pcs cluster standby nodename" command gives error about node missing from config:
Error: node 'nodename' does not appear to exist in configuration

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • pacemaker
