Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • vgimportclone fails with "/dev/mapper/mpath30p1 is not in a VG", where /dev/mapper/mpath30p1 is a cloned PV of a VG (for example, "vgimportclone --basevgname BackupApp /dev/mapper/mpath31p1")
  • pvs fails to display vgname when given duplicate PV (for example, "pvs -o vg_name /dev/mapper/mpath30p1" shows a blank vg_name, where /dev/mapper/mpath30p1 is a duplicate PV)
