getent returns no information from LDAP server on RHEL5.4 client
Issue
- getent command on a newly created user does not return information from the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server.
- id commands complete successfully showing user information and, therefore, exists in the LDAP database.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.4 LDAP client
