Issue

  • Server is experiencing network interface error with one of bonded interface eth3. 
 kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth3: transmit timed out
 kernel: ixgbe 0000:05:00.1: eth3: Reset adapter
 kernel: ixgbe 0000:05:00.1: eth3: RXDCTL.ENABLE on Rx queue 0 not cleared within the polling period
 kernel: ixgbe 0000:05:00.1: eth3: RXDCTL.ENABLE on Rx queue 1 not cleared within the polling period

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9
