xrdb fails with "unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"' after applying security update
Issue
After applying a security update, the command /usr/bin/xrdb fails with the following error message:
$ xrdb
sh: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"'
sh: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 with xorg-x11-server-utils to version 7.4-15.el6_0.1 from RHSA-2011:0433
