Issue

I do have to say that dealing with udev and hal in RHEL 4 and 5 is very frustrating.
We'd prefer to see more granular controls. E.g. Policy: all users can mount CDs read only, only members of group rmedia can mount RW removable media or use the CD/DVD recorder, all removable file systems will be mounted with nodev, nosuid, noexec options, all failed removable media mount attempts will be logged.
