JON availability check for Apache host or virtual host results in 404 response in access.log

Issue

  • Using an availability URL of 'http://127.0.0.1:1080' put 404 errors into the Apache web server log files
    192.168.100.50 - - [14/Apr/2011:09:31:54 -0500] "HEAD / HTTP/1.1" 404 - "-" "Java/1.6.0_16"
    192.168.100.50 - - [14/Apr/2011:09:31:57 -0500] "HEAD / HTTP/1.1" 404 - "-" "Java/1.6.0_16"
    
  • Availability shows UP but access.log contains "404 Not Found" response messages each time availability check is performed

  • Apache HTTP Server plug-in for JON
