After moving GFS2 file system from /etc/fstab to <resources> in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, file system doesn't mount in RHEL 5 or 6 cluster

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • I tested adding the gfs2 as a resource, and removing it from the fstab. To date, I cannot get the file system to mount. When I add the mount entry back into the fstab, it mounts all nodes.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the Resilient Storage Add On
  • GFS or GFS2
  • A <clusterfs> resource defined in the <resources> section of /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, but not referenced within any <service>
