KubeAPIErrorsHigh alert firing due to "too large resource version" in OCP 4

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are seeing continuous alerts such as KubeAPIErrorsHigh and KubeClientErrors on the console.
  • We checked the kube-apiserver logs, but everything seems perfectly working and there are no unusual errors to claim this type of alert. What are the reasons behind these alerts? How to avoid them?
  • Some examples of the alerts are:

API server is returning errors for 100% of requests for LIST hostsubnets
API server is returning errors for 49.21% of requests for LIST networkpolicies
API server is returning errors for 48.39% of requests for LIST egressnetworkpolicies
API server is returning errors for 48.39% of requests for LIST csidrivers
The API server is burning too much error budget
