Paging for a JMS queue (activemq) doesn't seem to stop

At one of our customers' system we observered that in the paging directory (/subsystem=messaging-activemq/server=default/path=paging-directory -> path = activemq/paging, relative-to = jboss.server.data.dir) there are more than 5000 .page-files for one jms-queue. The oldest page file is from the end of February.

The server instance has been shutdown and started several times in the past months.

3) The oldest page file has the number 32, so it nearly looks like some files have been removed from the directory.

I also attach file "console_out_artemis_print_data_server-2.txt" which shows a warning that might be related to the cause of why the paging files couldn't be deleted:
