Unable to mount VMware vSphere persistent volumes or unable to create PVC from dynamic disk after change in VM's UUID in OpenShift 4

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Unable to create PersistentVolumeClaim using dynamic disk provisioning.
  • Unable to mount VMware vSphere volumes as it is not able to locate the virtual machine to attach the disk.
  • OpenShift nodes are missing the providerID value.
  • Error is showing like this:

    vsphere_util.go:132] Error while obtaining Kubernetes node nodeVmDetail details. error : No VM found
