Update to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6 or 6.0 may cause landscape documents to print improperly

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After updating system (cups package) jobs are printing as portrait instead of landscape.
  • Nach update vom cups können PDF-Dateien (andere Formate wohl) nicht mehr in quer-format gedückt werden.
  • After an update of CUPS, PDF files (as well as other file formats) no longer print properly in landscape.
  • We have a number of report that are generated in Landscape. On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 this print to the CUPS printer without error. However when printing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 the print does not output to the printer.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0
  • ghostscript-8.70-6.el5
  • ghostscript-8.70-6.el6
