Kernel panic on boot while attempting to load third party hp_ilo module on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 & 5.4
Issue
- Kernel panic
- Panic loading hp_ilo module
- Panics with kernels 2.6.18-128.1.14.el5 and 2.6.18-164.el5 boots correctly with vmlinuz-2.6.18-92.1.22.el5
- Also seen on 2.6.18-238.1.1
- Kernel panics when both Red Hat supplied ILO driver, and HP supplied ILO driver are loaded.
